There is a list of Ecclestone's articles at the Yahoo site. It indicates that he wrote 4 of them in 2007 and 7 in 2008. I may be misreading the information but it would appear that this is is first article in over a year. He has obviously spent a great deal of time analyzing ECU's published information and, for an investor like me with very limited knowledge of the mining industry, his resulting conclusions are very disturbing. In effect he is calling ECU's management a bunch of "yahoos", telling us that the reserves and production are either minimal or inaccessible, that management is cashing out as quickly as they can and that the company is in a very precarious financial condition. It would be reassuring to investors like me if someone with a more positive view of the company could provide an intelligent refutation of Ecclestone's analysis. His writing appears to be well researched and would be quite convincing, and negatively so, to any prospective investor looking to put money into the JPM sector.
