The SEC has no tool to monitor the activities except in after hours analysis of recorded transactions. There are millions of those, so any hope that the SEC would go through the trouble to do a long term analysis of the trading behavior and be able to determine if it was manipulitive is as likely as the O man reading the constitution.

The current implication is that the new york crooks are building long positions in the mining sector. Keeping the price under control serves two purposes for them. One, to discourage any excitement over gold and silver and two, to allow them to establish huge positions at way under free market values.
