I certainly share your frustrations with ECU's share price and with the casino-like atmosphere that seems to permeate the market generally and the small miners in particular. We seem to have been in a constant state of expectation for years now where the pm prices and our share values were due to explode upwards any day with no results ever forthcoming.

I hold GOG as well as ECU and I am puzzled by your apparent impression that "GOG can make money without what we have." I bought GOG because of the San Diego asset, their relatively small overheads and the low number of issued shares. It seemed to me that ECU would bring the San Diego property up to some approximation of the operation at ECU's main mine and that the upside for GOG would be quite substantial.

GOG does not communicate with its shareholders beyond what is legally required. The company appears to be, quite simply, a mining promoter that spins off operations to other companies in return for a reduction in GOG's interests with the hope that something good will result. Nothing particularly wrong with that approach and I hope they succeed.

GOG does not "make money." Their latest results are on Sedar, dated August 18, and they show a six month loss for 2010 of $120,000 and a 3 month loss of $81,000. This is consistent with last year and reflective of the company's approach to business. As to the dispute with ECU, it appears to me that both managements are being pigheaded and that there would appear to be bad personal relationships behind these arguments over what would seem to be relatively trivial matters.
