As the record will show, I had asked Pic and others to take their long running comments about politics off the board. Not in a mean way but in order to keep potential problems from developing.

When I stated that Glen Beck is dangerous...I was not kidding. Others have posted direct quotes that support that position. There are so many it is redundant to keep posting them.

The level to which he and other FOX (FIXED) news and other right wing pundants, political operatives and strategists have gone to spread fear and derision are beyond the pale.

I feel the country, the republic and the people are put in jeopardy by such actions.

I am posting my response to pic because his response to me was to leave the board. I am a person of honor and to see the well meaning posters on this board struggle with his decision to leave makes me feel responsible.

I will let my private message to pic stand for what it is.

I did not intend to insult or demean pic. I thought this was a private exchange and he took a public action based on my comments.

He is a dangerous person and FOX News is the mouth piece of the Republican party. It's not even a point for debate.

I think you are smart enough to know that the majority of investors get the markets wrong and loose money....

In that vein, most of the people in the US are lead around by their noses and fight the wrong fight. The media will not speak the hard truths to the citizens.

How do you feel about Social Security?? Medicare??

The truth is the government stole the money from social security and spent it...That is the real fight...but no one really wants to ask a Senator why they stole the money. Social Security is the best program ever passed by Congress and signed into law.

It is part of Social Justice...look it up in the Bible....it is the dominate them of the whole book.

But most modern day Christians just want lower taxes and Constitutional government...well we haven't been using the majority of that document for decades...where is the fight for the constitutionally mandated dollar?? The last President that tried to reinstate Federal dollars backed by silver was shot in the head in Dallas.

Medicare, great idea. But when Johnson put the program in place, they were afraid to few doctors would join the program so they didn't put in any cost containment provisions. Two years later they realized that the program was spiraling out of control. But congress was influenced by the lobbyists and they never put in controls.

To fix the problem, we need a single payer system. We could roll back the cost of health care quickly.

Yes we would have to forgive the student loans of docs that would be making less and the social program might not offer some of the most expensive treatments...So what? If you could afford the insurance you could get whatever you needed but the majority of the country would have less suffering...

We could get rid of the insurance industry that is consuming 30% of all health care dollars..it was only 5% in the 60's.

I could go on and on....but people don't want to debate and come to sane and reasonable answers...they won't take the time to study the issues.

The two party system is completely broken. It's a I win you loose game...but if the two parties just pass the baton back and forth the real controllers of the country win...big business and the banks.

Have you looked at Monsanto and how they are destroying the seed industry and putting genes into all the seeds so they own the world's entire seed patents?? For every plant...but the yields are lower...they are "roundup" ready...the diversity of the seed pool is vanishing and the food is less safe....

but the republicans love these guys....regulate the industry...Nahhhh

Or the Oil industry...tax breaks for big oil...and no regulation...well we have rules but Bush and Chaney put their friends in charge of that industry and look what we got.

But of course there is no global warming...that would hurt business....

And how about the torture of prisoners by W and the neocons...They are war criminals...they should be tried as such...

Ho I know...they saved lives...But that isn't a defense, it's an excuse.. Washington during the revolutionary war refused to torture British prisoners...because he had high morals...not a convenient sense of self preservation.

So you want to change the world??? Pick a standard and stick to it. Debate the issues and listen to the other side.

People of intelligence have a philosophy not an ideology. Make sure you know the difference.

Sometimes you have to agree with the other side...it's not all white and black.

I do not apologize for my beliefs. I am open minded and regularly change my positions based on facts and circumstances. In fact I hold people that can show me positions and facts that change my position in the highest regard. They are my teachers and mentors.

I expect no less from my adversaries, friends and family.
