Any old excuse will work for the NY gangsters to try and create a flush of weak hands. Today it's interest rates and dollar counter trend strength. They have been trying to do this for quite sometime with not great success and I guess today they managed to get enough shorting followers to get some long liquidation. It looked like they might get this last Friday and they were close to success but got turned back again.

Looks like they are making money covering on gold stocks and physical gold itself today after numerous recent defeats. This demonstrates they are still dangerous with their paper games but not near what they used to be. If anything they have been much more successful controlling gold shares then gold itself recently.
