All I can say about this thread is that it shows that the politicians in the U.S. are not at all out of touch or step with the people. The people act just like them, or vice versa - not sure which it is. Even the people from Canada act in concert.

No conciliation, no working together, no respect for the other side whatsoever - all out war.

The whole thing is just so ironic.

I don't have the solutions, just commenting. Well, perhaps our own Prop 19 in Cal should have passed - perhaps a more mellow bunch of Americans would do better, on balance, than what we have now.
