Message: Preparation for the day & Robert Zoellick

Ok folks, it really sucks that our times are so varied- I miss all the excitement on the board at the high of the jumps as I am usually in the middle of a work meeting. With a few weeks like yesterday, that might not be a problem anymore... :)

Anyhow, yesterday was the best single performing day I have ever had in my portfolio, but I have been at this for a far shorter time than a lot of you. I am just happy that the world gave me the same opportunity it gave some of you and that was to buy ECU at sub 1$. But I think the stock will have a very brief, very deep breath and make another massive charge. I’m currently preparing by dumping some of my 'dogs' and placing a series of strong bids in the system for today. We have a profitability statement pending, we have silver on a historic tear, we have an every increasing value attached to our property... this could be a perfect storm. Now just to shore up and patch my boat so I can ride it...

I'm so pleased with ECU, the board, the folks here at Agoracom (at least the ones who know when to drop a topic...!!) and am really looking forward to where this is all headed. Yesterday the World Bank president Robert Zoellick publicly stated that we, “should also consider employing gold as an international reference point of market expectations about inflation, deflation and future currency values. Although textbooks may view gold as the old money, markets are using gold as an alternative monetary asset today.”

Zoellick didn’t say “gold standard,” but it sounded enough like that to stir fresh debate in the economic blogosphere."

We're going mainstream guys.

What I am really, really excited about is thinking about what we have under the ground. The finds are getting better and better, how much could really be down there? 1.5 billion perhaps? If so, that could be 42 billion worth of silver at todays prices. What does that mean when the current total value of the company is less than 1% of that value? Even if we go ultra-conservative (note: that is not an invite for a political discussion) and attribute ECU with only 1/3 that amount, the companies share prices still only reflects approx. 2% of it's total value. And that's only looking at the silver down there. Putting my Warren Buffett hat on, this is a good, good company, at a great, great price... and thus you should bet the farm.

The last few days my excitement has spilled over and quite a few of my previously skeptical friends have started adding ECU to their portfolios and have been writing and calling excitedly. I'm personally going to do some serious adding now as I really think we are now seeing a wave forming, a real wave, a 'big surf' wave. Jus a few months ago i mentioned two key thinks I was looking for, 20 dollar silver (ha ha ha... seems like a while ago now eh?) and .75 ECU. Took a long time to pass that second marker, but shortly after we did- hello money. Now I'm looking at something a few months ago I could only dream of... 30 dollar silver and ECU at 1.50. Hopefully those targets are hit by an unprecedented Blitzkreig.

Enjoy the ride my friends. When we meet up together soon, I'm having a Macallan 20 neat and making a toast to excellent foresight and years of great posting.

Good luck to all,

Soul
