As we all gasp at the maneuvers and counter maneuvers of the giants in the silver/gold markets...we might want to remind ourselves of other tircksters and parasites out there. To wit...we are told this morning that there are two takeot offers for Baffin Island Mines...a very large iron deposit...for mere pennies aove the present share price. The competing parties are pressuring the OSC (Ontario Securitites Commission) to force the issue before the end of Dec. One of the suitors has been establisehd merely to take out Baffin Island.

Of passing curiosity, Baffin Island stock was take down severely some time ago and is now languishing at a much lower level. Now it would be blasphemous to think that the stock has been well capped by certain movers and shakers who had all this planned...and rob the expectant shareholders of their future profits. But stranger things have happened.

I expect we will see a lot of this over the next several months...such as SanGold for just one example....there are many others,all with very large deposits. ECU? I leave that discourse to those more steeped in the undercurrents of such mysterious deep waters.

Oh, one more thing. Good old Frances on BNN this morning informed us that the "one big silver shorter" has now covered. Isn't that nice to know?
