I think the low volume is because there were a lot of investors scared out of the market during the correction last month. They believed the hype and perhaps were waiting with bids much lower than the prices dipped. Now they are trapped and standing on the sidelines. How does one pay $1.18 to get back into ECU now after selling at $1.05? Never mind ECU because the stock has been bouncing off a much steeper long term correction, but many other juniors were absolutely flying until xmas and then got hit hard. How do the longs get back on board now after the quick retrace of the losses? Check out FR, GPR, SLW, UXG, and a host of others that have bounced hard and fast off their lows. It is very difficult for traders to buy back in now.

I think the junior ETFs will be the driving force to move the individual stocks higher. As more people see that that the bounce in the metals is real, they will put cash into those ETFs and they will be buying the juniors to meet their allotment objectives. We should see the buying wave into the juniors develop a day or two late.
