Wow, at 10:30 EST this evening, silver was up .73 to around $36.40!

I'd like to see silver slow down, catch our breath and consolidate. And, of course, I'd like to see ECU and a few others catch fire.

The entitlement issues and the state and local pension issues are really getting a lot of play here in the States - it's probably a good ten years later than the time this discussion should have been front and center. Would it have been but for 9/11? I doubt it - it's a topic that not many wanted to showcase, but where it was going then, was not very difficult to see; the concept of the "Baby Boomer" generation is something that is ingrained in every eductated American, ever since the 1960's. These demograhics did not come jumping out of the weeds at us. Dealing with the issues now will be extra unpleasant.
