It's been 35 years since i worked on military electronics, so the technology has made vast improvements. However, I have to ask - what the heck is inside that requires 500 oz. of silver? Back in my day all military electronic connectors were gold plated. There may have been a lot of connectors, but nothing that could possibly total more than an ounce, if that.

So obviously there's something else in these missiles that requires a vast quantity of silver. What do they use, superconducting silver wire?

Just very, very curious.
