We also have the issue related to why have the silver mining equities underperformed dramatically over the past 2-3 months, many trading as if Silver was in the $35 area at the close last Friday. SLV climbed $9.27 per share between the open on April 4th and the close on April 29th while the mining shares as represented by SIL were down from $28.83 to $28.41 over the same time period.
Did somebody know something?
Still....SIL last traded at $27.45 in the premarket, 12 cents higher than where SIL closed on March 28th with SLV at 36.19.
SIL opened at 27.45 the morning of March 1st. SLV opened that day at $33.58.
Today...the first trading day of May looks like SIL may open around $27.45 with SLV at $44.
What a difference two months makes.....two months which have also seen the DOW rise from 12226.57 to what looks like will be an open around 12880 this morning.
