Jnycat, I agree that $100 mln isn't an awful lot, given the burn rate of Golden. However, I do believe that the new company may be able to get money out of the market easier and at better terms.
I also feel that ECU has been taken hostage by the hedge funds and that the merger gives us a fresh start.
By the way, when the ECU share price rises pre-merger due to the naked shorts buying back, how will this be reflected in the NewCo share price? I guess not at all, even though it would indicate that the ECU part of the company had been undervalued and that the ECU market cap is worth more than $300 mln.
