Underlying all of the analyses, doubts, conjecture, suspicion and other phenomena that are unleashed by an announcement like this there are a few fundamentals that, it seems to me, must be kept in mind. I believe that most of us here have stayed invested in ECU through the recent troublesome times because we believed in the management and in the promise represented by the assets, both proven and potential. If you don't believe in either the management or the assets you should definitely not be invested in ECU.
Assuming then that you do have the necessary confidence you must be willing to trust in management to do what they view to be the right things to realize on the assets to the benefit of themselves and their shareholders. If you do not have that confidence, again, you should not be invested in ECU. My personal belief is that ECU's management has made every effort to develop the assets and to realize on them as profitably as they could. I view this merger as one more very significant step in that process and one that they have not taken lightly nor without due diligence. If you share that belief you simply have to hold your shares and observe as management continues to work hard on your behalf. What could be simpler than that?
