Spent most of my day cutting down pine trees (for future heating fuel).

Am considering purchasing available half acre next door to me and getting it ready for planting next spring. I have about one third of an acre planted this year. Should help feed my wife and I through the winter, together will emergency food rations we have stored away.

This fall, I will look at extending my home to accommodate a few extra people (my four boys and their families live in the city and they will need a place to stay if TSHTF).

I have a feeling that this winter could get very hard for most.
