As of today, I had not received any proxy material in the mail. Mark Butler, ECU I.R. gave me a contact to call.
The Client Care person I talked to at Kingsdale was very helpful. He indated that I should contact TDWaterhouse for the control numbers to get my votes recorded. So, I dived into the quaqmire (I love these phone calls). After about three transfers, I was talking with Sam, in the Investment Group, I think. He had to confer a couple of times with some back room people, who told him that I had to have shares (not warrants - they are non people, apparently) before I could vote, warrants did not get a vote. I told him I was looking at a pdf of a Computershare document that I downloaded from the SEDAR ECU site. So he went there, and I guided him to the Feb 2009 warrants proxy vote form, which he found. I told him that this proved that his back room people were feeding him bullshit. (Not much of a comment). So then he indicated that he would contact the Proxy Group to get me control numbers. This happened within 20 minutes, approx. Interestingly, I got 2 12 digit control numbers, but my wife got 1 'consolidated' control number - he didn't know why. He also didn't know when, if ever, I would have received my control numbers if I hadn't talked to him.
So then I went on to the Computershate Investorvote site, entered in a control number, and was informed it (and the other control numbers) was invalid. So much for voting on line. Did the telephone thing, and the computer answering machine did a good job of recording my control numbers.
So, I voted. I just hope that I voted FOR the merger.
