Hi Casey,
While I am sure you meant well with your post (trying to illuminate on potentially why we still haven't seen uplift), I think the concept of ECU complicity just doesn't add up. If I thought the ECU board would have anything to do with the guys who have completely destroyed the true value of ECU for current holders I would have or would be selling now. Since I'm not, I guess I just don't believe that scenario... why would they want to help anyone who forced them to expand the shares at cut rate prices and endangered such a promising venture? I simply can't see any reason.
On the other hand... the current 'gap' between the merger and any real news (especially on those drilling results!) is probably best explained by the fact that we don't all have our AUM shares yet. The fact that this is a good opportuinty (with the lack of news) for some AUM/ECU friends to load up at cheap prices is well... OK by me. I have the same opportunity.
I expect rather quickly that the new board will make some bold statements in the next 4-6 weeks and we will all be happy little campers. Personally I can't wait to see what's happening behind the scenes, but I am sure it's not depressing news. I personally (being a very long, long) couldn't give a "rats" (pun intended) backside about what people are saying or what todays share price is... as Guildage says, if you do... well good luck to you, but you are not an 'investor'. Holding and waiting is not a great strategy for many types of industries or for that matter most kinds of trading. But with AUM/ECU and this company, there is simply no other way. Our day will come and that will not be influenced by any ponderings about any scenarios... sometimes here we are a bit like CNN/24 hours news, a lack of news means we have to make some up :)
I for one have been rather quiet lately, but my interest is now climbing again. This last bit of our year may be one of the most key periods in this companies history - at least I hope so. The good part that I see here is that we're really starting from a place where investor sentiment couldn't really get much worse then it was with ECU at the end (which influenced AUM)... this is a new dawn and I hope it's a bright one.
One of the good sides of the CHF announcement is that the CAD/CHF exchange rate won't erode further... I hope.
Good luck my friends,
Soul
