Its fair to say its not been a great start. I have been holding Ecu since 2003 and its a large holding for me. I was at the Gata conference in London and met Mr Roy for the first time. I asked about the short position in shares and he told me that his problem had been to prove shorting had been going on. My take is I have faith in the mining ability of the ECU team , as I am not a trader I can continue with a long term view. With new management and cash on hand personally my plan is to sit and wait for the next 6 months - 1 year and see news flow from company and give the new set up a chance. If things go well I will like with my other holdings keep for another 4-5 years and look at what the world looks like then. If Golden Minerals vastly underperforms over next year I will take a view then and probably switch some of my exposure to other shares in same sector..
