I'm not just watching the miners but mostly investing in them.
I must confess, I was heavily into ECU but with the sp gone stagnant I sold most of my shares and that part mostly placed on gold producers.
Per Argoz's example I use one also:
AUM now has dropped to about a quarter of it's sp from a year ago.
However for comparison Nevsun, who is a recent producer, dropped about a third from it's price of a year ago.
Real producers are being rewarded by not dropping in sp as much as partial producers (which ECU was) and even more so than most explorers. That has been my experience.
I have some speculative types ( early explorers to label them politely ) that are a tenth of their former price from a year ago and 2008.
Bottom line:
I do not complain much, though I would like to, because the market provides opportunities and even though I have been late in most cases to take advantage, I am, thank you very much.

I do not think ECU or AUM were singled out much but just the market has treated them as they were and are perceived. And I stress Perceived because AUM has the goods but it neads time to deliver them to market to cash in from the assets in the ground.

The future is there in spades. Ed.
