Until the world sees the problem for what it is...there will be no NICE solution.

Back in early 1970's, The Club of Rome identified the problem and tried to find, through computer simulation, the answer...but all simulations ended with the same result...Extreme lower standards of living for the western world.

So what was the problem...?

It is the very thing that governments have been using as an "answer" to economic sluggishness for 50 years. The problem is growth itself.

Just as governments cause more debt as a solution to the debt problem, the answer they came up with to the problem of the absolute limits to growth...was more growth.

Growth just makes the problems BIGGER!

The biggest growth problem is the population. This causes overall reduced employment, reduced per-capita available resources, ie food, fuel, infrastructure.

This problem will only be solved by famine, war, disease...or government edict...and will not be accepted by the populace until great hardship exists. The club of Rome knew this 40 years ago.
