Each time you write to them their standard answer is that they have these and those regulations and they are responsible for enforcement BUT the issue is that they are not enforcing their own rules. So all letters to them should stress the fact that according to us the investors, their action is grossly inadequate.
I have never written to the OSC, or similar, because I consider it a hopeless cause. Where I wrote is to my members of both provincial (Ont.) and federal governments. On some occasions, such as before elections, I also wrote to party leaders.
In all cases, if I received a reply, it was a canned answer. In other words that they are aware of the problem and agree. In one case (NDP if you can believe) that they are working towards a solution.
By the way the European Union in Brussels apparently has some laws drafted on this and related subjects and are awaiting a vote. So at least across the pond they are further ahead.
