Gold:
These bulletin board forums provide great opportunities for positive and informative discussion about companies like AUM. Unfortunately your post is an example of the negativity that can also be encouraged by such opportunities.
When I read statements like yours I am prompted to wonder if you would be willing to confront someone like Michel Roy with your contention that he will be "taken care of handsomely" for fleecing all of the suckers like us who were his shareholders in ECU. Would you be willing to stand up at a shareholders' meeting and say that to him? If the answer is no, as I am sure it would be, then I don't think you should me abusing an open forum like this one with that kind of accusation.
Your post goes beyond Mr. Roy personally to accuse the senior management in both ECU and AUM of conspiring to sell their company to a major at an artificially low price. Since they would personally lose the potential upside profit to be made on their shares I assume you are implying that all of them also have engaged in some secret arrangement whereby they would be compensated by the major company buyer after the fact. These are very serious accusations. Again, you could raise them in public at a shareholders' meeting and ask for proof that such deals have not been made. I'm sure you wouldn't be willing to do so, so why would you do it in a public forum like this?
