Golden Minerals is a junior silver producer with a strong growth profile, listed on both the NYSE Amex and TSX.
1) The Minefinders announcement today
2) Increased interest in AUM since the beginning of the year with higher than normal volumes recently and a renewed price increase
3) Pan American Silver's objective to be the largest silver producer in the world.
4) AUM's incredible potential silver properties that may be some of the best in the world.
5) Pan American is trying to increase their footprint in the Central and South America parts of the world.
6) Pan America's recent hiring of a Goldman Sachs individual on their Board of Directors
7) Up until the end of last year the rather suppressed price of the former ECU and the newly mergered company since the acquisition.
8) Don't discount the ability of the cartel to suppress good assets/ companies only to have a white knight like PAAS come to the rescue of the distressed stock since the merger.
9) Your SEC filing news about the resignation of the VP of Geology.
10) How does management react to a drop in share price from $26 to $5.50 in 8 months?
11) Increased M & A activity across the board for all precious metals companies
12) The disappointing prices for take over candidates so far as we start this 12th year of the bull maket in precious metals.
13) The inabilty of management to curtail the rampant short selling activities.
14) The factoring in of hypothication as a tool to take down not only financial firms but also the impact this could have on commodity (PM) companies that have nothing wrong with them as a whole.
15) A corrupt SEC and CFTC that fail to enforce the law.
16) The forementioned silver consolidator as a conduit to assemble and grow the metals needed for the cartel.
17) The role of the Sentient Group and Gilder Gagnon and Howe as the two largest institutional holders of this company.
Personally I want to see AUM go it alone. I like the cash position of the company and the progress that has been made since the merger along with the mill and mining improvements. I also feel that AUM management is on the ball and making strides that will only make this one powerful silver producer in the forseeable future. The potential at Golden Minerals is exceptional.
