The most easy to see good things are institutional and fund support grew substantially over Q4 2011. The incidence of new positions versus sold out positions was significant especially in share count, being about nine times higher. We know from looking at this data and previous quarters that these positons tend to increase after being established ( aggod example is Sprott went from around 700,000 shares to 1,200,000 shares to now about 1,700,000) so given such a big increase in new share purchases in Q4 this should lead to significant increased share positions as per historical precedent, and judging from the share price appreciation in Q1 so far this looks to be happening, a very good future trend pattern.
The big seller was Gilder Gagnon and although I'm not really familiar with them, I think they acquired this position out of the ashes of Apex Mining when assets were re-organized into Golden Minerals. They have been steady sellers for a few quarters. I should try to find out more.
Of course our 20% shareholder investor from Sentient has not sold or bought any shares as per usual, they tend to be investors and not traders. I would expect them here for the eventual end-game or the move above $100 whichever comes first.
