What I am concluding is that this short term supply/liquidation of AUMN is algo-programmed according to any sudden weakness in the metals and undoubtedly comes from a short entity since no long seller would liquidate on an instantaneous, minor metal pullback.
I totally agree that this is a shorting entity doing the selling but I disagree that it trades according to any weakness in the metals. I have often seen this but not in the last few days. The selling pressure is still there today but the buying isn't and that IMO is the reason for the drop from the early highs back to unchanged, probably not a coincidence.
If we don't see some sustained buying I predict a close below yesterday's close....just on principle. Hopefully the buyer is just taking a breather, knowing the seller will come to them.
PM's just had a big spike and volitility is a little interesting. I would surely welcome a big move in the PM's, because as you mentioned, that should cause some short covering.
