Hi DCFM
I feel that the " compromise which allows for a gradual withdrawal " is actually a tacit admission that the German gold is not really in the vaults in New York. If it were, it " should not be too difficult for the US to " back the Brinks trucks up and shuttle the German gold to the airport in a matter of weeks. If the German gold is not really in the vaults in New York, it " should not be too difficult for the US to " restock the vaults from Fort Knox. If the US can do neither of these things, why would any country ( even the US ) believe that their gold is really in New York ?
