Dear Babaoriley,
I clarified the situation after I had additional information which was subsequently forthcoming at 11:32 a.m. this morning. I duly posted it to clarify the situation as soon as I discovered the discrepancy. I have nothing against you or any other poster on this board but if you are going to accuse me of doing something to which you object, please get all your facts right first and understand that I am not perfect, and neither are you or anyone else. You may call me sloppy all you wish but I doubt you can say that every time you have come across information it was told to you without ambiguity and which you thought that to be the case at the time.
The Sprott Canada shares have been, as pointed out, sold in part. I was not referring to those when I posted as the person with whom I spoke did not clarify it and the context of the communication was such that I made a reasonable presumption that we were talking about shares of Sprott Canada AND shares of Sprott USA. I made the assumption it was ALL shares but it was not. It is now clarified. OK?
There was no need to take the tone you took with me, maligning me all the way back to the beginning of my presence on this board. What you said was simply not true. I have made a number of significant contributions from time to time which you can assess by the numbers of recommendations they garnered.
You say you have "next to no mining or PM knowledge." Fair enough. That does make me wonder what you are doing here in this particular playground. You seem more like a Facebook or Apple kind of guy. But still I am not going to malign you for it. I do have a great deal of PM experience, going back three and a half decades. I actually have gone to see mines before investing. If I tell you I have concern about this share price action over all these many months it is not for nothing. I have made and lost money in this business and I tell you, whether or not you believe it, management errors have been a significant cause of the ruination of several companies which I had in my portfolio. Now, I am not saying this company is making errors but I am saying things have been criticized by objective observers, some with a fair bit of geologic and business knowledge, on this board. One a few months ago related how he had received an e-mail from the CEO disavowing any knowledge of manipulation such as naked short selling. If memory serves, I believe the poster said the CEO asked him to bring "evidence." I found that odd. How could a knowledgeable CEO not know about the present rampant PM share manipulation with GATA spreading the word far and wide? I for one do not understand it and made a comment to that effect at the time. But then, maybe the CEO does not get out much.
I regret if this is not palatable to you, but it is what it is. It takes a whole lot more than criticism to run a share price from $20 to a 52 week low, shaving off 83% or so of its pre-merger value. If anyone thinks otherwise, they are rationalizing and fooling themselves.
Now, what this outfit does from this point on, time will tell. But I am surprised that a class entity like Sprott would sell ANY shares, rather than buying them at these low prices. Are not you?
If you think my Avatar hits the "nail on the head" then you are a rather humorless individual. Good luck with that.
Unlike you, by your admission, I do NOT take anonymous "shots" at people on message boards. I will defend myself if I think someone is off base in attacking me or threatens me or maligns me unduly just because their delicate sensibilities have been offended in their estimation. And I would get help for those "personal issues." If you keep them bottled up inside you, they will eat you alive. But then, you think this is all very funny, right. It's really a shame we cannot all be as perfect as you and the semi-literate "usk" who, not being sufficiently satisfied by resorting to vulgarity to express his emotions and hatred of me, felt it necessary to accuse me of falsehoods, but without the guts to reply to my private message to discuss his vitriolic comments with me. In case you are reading this, "usk," I suggest you have a whole lot more to go on besides a miscommunication between two people before making these types of accusations. But then, maybe you are perfect also, right? (But not in your written skills, unfortunately.) Or maybe you feel safer in crowds.
As I do not feel my potential to contribute to this board is desired or appreciated as I am not sufficiently perfect for you, having been told by such as you what you thought about me and what findings I tried to offer, and in consideration of the remarkable degree of animosity you harbor, no doubt out of many months of frustration, I will not be darkening your door again. Good luck with your share price. May it turn around and hit the moon. I certainly hope it does as I am going to hold onto my tranche unless it becomes apparent that the game is over as a number of fellow-posters have already concluded.
GLTA. No animosity to any. Life is way too short.
