I have long wondered why a mining company (or many mining companies) doesn't issue a press release stating strongly that it is halting all sales of metal until gold and/or silver's price returns to a price level more reflective of its value. I would strongly consider buying shares of such a company.
Sit on the physical metal until the related price justifies mining it and selling it.
Imagine Silver only hit a high of $20 in 1980. Using distorted CPI - even $20 in 1980 equals $56.35 today.
And I have a feeling there was way more physical silver around in 1980 than there is today. Today's price is roughly equivalent to $8.36 in 1980.
