Mike: I also felt that the documentary wasn't as "hard hitting" as it could have been. But I guess we have to keep in mind that it is directed to a general audience who would have very little exposure to the subjects of trading, paper versus metal, HFT and all the other complexities involved. I think the public would get a general impression that the big banks, JPM and HSBC in particular, are manipulating the market and that governments are not being honest about how much gold is in their vaults. As a Canadian I was surprised to be told that Canada has sold all of its gold. I never gave it much thought before.
