As I've said before, I still use the bank, but only to pay my bills. I went there on Saturday to talk to the young lady that is assigned to look after my account (She's new. The lady she replaced has now retired - they call her a Financial Advisor - what a joke).

Anyway, the bank was packed. There were line-ups everywhere. I even had to make an appointment to see my F.A.

We talked for a while and she kept asking me why I had withdrawn all my funds and closed down most of my accounts (the only account I have is a chequing account, with a minimum amount on deposit and because I'm a senior, I don't have to pay any fees).

Before I answered her, I asked her to explain why the Canadian Government had included "bail-ins" in the new budget and asked her if she knew what "bail-ins" were.

She was CLUELESS and after I explained the situation to her, she started to laugh at me and insinuated that I was paranoid, insisting that money is still safer in the bank than kept personally.

Before leaving I told her the story of the little old lady that was driving and got pulled over by the police.

She rolled down her window and the policeman noticed a shotgun on the seat.

"Do you have a permit for that? he asked her.

"I do." and she opened her glove compartment to show him.

He then saw she had a revolver in her glove compartment.

"How about that one?"

She showed him both permits.

"Do you have any other weapons?" he asked.

"I have a pistol in my purse, together with another permit.

"Lady" he asked "What are you afraid of?"

She replied with a smile "Not a damn thing."

"We live in interesting times"
