is if the price of the stock stabilizes and heads higher. I digress a bit here, but please hear me out. Today NEM announced their earnings. They crushed it. YOY, their earnings were up 11%. The median analyst projection was for .32, and they came in at .46. The most important part of their report though came when the company announced that they had reduced consolidated spending for 2013 by $700 million YTD. For years now, the shouts that mining companies costs have gone through the roof, have been deafening. Well, you can hear the crickets chirping today, because no one is talking about this. Maybe I'm just grasping for straws because nothing seems to change when one looks at the bottom line; the stock prices of miners are so so depressed.
