Golden Minerals is a junior silver producer with a strong growth profile, listed on both the NYSE Amex and TSX.
AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WTF can we do about this? Feel powerless.
Sorry no meaningful suggestions, I have written to PR folk at 'head' office and
get a sort of generic replies back.

Steve,
Golden does understand your disappointment and frustration -- because we share it. Golden Minerals employees are also AUMN shareholders, our investments in company stock are under water along with non-employee shareholders' investments, and our interests are thus fully aligned with all shareholders' interests. Golden executives receive a significant portion of their pay in restricted stock that vests over a three-year period. They have now paid more in taxes due on those vesting shares than the shares are now worth.
Management is working on the testing and design of potential production re-start scenarios in Mexico. You likely read about the potential long hole stoping scenario we are evaluating -- it was outlined in Golden's Sept. 10, 2013 press release. We intend to have such testing and design work done before year end which should enable us to solidify 2014 plans for our Velardeña operations in Mexico. The decision of whether to re-start production and under what conditions is contingent upon multiple interdependent items such as the results of underground drilling designed to validate recent mine modeling, gold recovery testing, plant utilization, labor force decisions and of course precious metals prices. Additionally, Golden is seeking outside feed sources for our Velardena mills.
Golden also remains engaged in soliciting a partner for our El Quevar project in Argentina and is seeking out external business opportunities as well.
Management believes all these items may be viewed as catalysts for creating company value moving forward.

Golden Minerals Investor Relations

To: IR MailboxSubject: dismal performance of SP continues, now what?
I remain increasingly concerned with the relentless obliteration of the SP.
Now approaching 99% since the peak in ECU several yrs ago and deteriorating since the amalgamation with AUM…. nothing but losses.
What is management doing to address this issue?
Quite frankly I am not sure anything can be done and will not be surprised with a chap 11
Filing. I think my pessimism is justified.
