Who do you think promoted the E.U. and why do you think the E.U. is allowed to exist?

Do you really believe that the U.K. would stay mostly "onside" with the E.U. if the Americans were dead set against it?(sure they kept their currency, but they gave up all their rights, rights that thousands died for? - give me a break).

And what about Angela's visit to Washington yesterday!

Did that not smell of E.U. / U.S. rallying around each other?

Of course the impoverished countries are going to line up to join the E.U. if they can see a better life. There is more than one way to "prod the bear".
