I watched Obama on CNN last night and I am totally mystified by everyone's approach to this problem of guns.

Lets get something straight.

GUNS DON'T KILL!

Example!

Put this inert object into the hands of someone with an ulterior motive and who knows what will happen?

Now put that same object into the hands of someone who just has it for protection and unless he or she is threatened - nothing happens.

So, the weakest link in the chain is the person pulling the trigger and his or her intentions, and no way can the system protect everyone from someone with bad intentions unless they have some protection themselves.

That's exactly why the Second Ammendment was enforced in the first place - to protect the common people from a government with an ulterior motive.
