Hi all,
While glancing through a pile of old coins yesterday, I came across one from 1838, which says around the reverse rim: "Pure copper preferable to paper". In the center is the value of the coin, stated: "One Stiver".
The obverse has some sort of goddess seated, holding what appears to be a small sheaf of grain, and aroung the rim the words: "Trade and navigation". Date on the bottom.
Since this "token" came from my grandfather's coin collection, and he lived in Prince Edward Island, I suspect this was issued in Nova Scotia.
With a plastic ruler (LOL) it is approx 1 5/16" diameter, and 5/16" thick copper.
Time and time again, the banksters try to print away all our money, and time and time again they fail.
Isn't that the definition of insanity?
