and New Claims at Gold Rock (Ontario)

ccnm

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 1, 2011) - Goldeye Explorations Limited ("Goldeye" or "the Company") (TSX VENTURE:GGY) is pleased to provide an update on the Sonia silver-gold project located approximately 200 kilometres north of Santiago, Chile, and on the Shining Tree gold project located in Tyrrell Township, approximately 100 kilometres south of Timmins, Ontario.

The over 80 square kilometre Sonia property in Chile's Region V contains in excess of 40 silver-gold low sulphidation epithermal veins. Mineralization has been exposed over vertical distances of 1,450 metres, with individual veins traced over strike lengths of one kilometre, and strike extents of up to four kilometres suspected for a few of the vein structures. An initial review of trace element analyses indicates a span of mineralization from that quite proximal to the metal source to a more distal epithermal setting.

During the January to May 2011 period, the Sonia program of trenching, entering old workings, sampling, detailed mapping, prospecting, and magnetometer and VLF-EM surveying was carried out on 13 newly discovered veins in two areas of the northern, or El Sobrante, portion of the Sonia block - the 2.25 square kilometre Eastern (Rancho) area and the 3.0 square kilometre Western (San Pedro) area. Demobilization from the project has just occurred and the results of the detailed work, including 343 samples from 11 veins in the San Pedro area and 173 samples from 8 veins in the Rancho area, are currently being analyzed to provide the framework for trenching, stripping, sampling, induced polarization surveying, road access construction and diamond drilling, planned to commence in August or September following the Chilean winter.

Goldeye's previously announced (April 27, 2011) 2,500 to 3,000 metre diamond drill program for its Shining Tree project approximately 20 kilometres west of Gowganda is well underway. Ten holes are planned, with eight being completed on the Big Dome area and extension, and two holes spotted on the Archie's Pit segment of the Hydro Creek area. Six holes have been completed to date and a steady stream of assay results is expected from the assay laboratory.

GOLD ROCK PROPERTY UPDATE

Goldeye has staked an additional five claims (28 units) tying on to its Gold Rock property in the Kenora Mining Division of Ontario, to bring its total to 12 claims. The claim block is located one kilometre north of the Manitou Gold Inc. property on which was reported (February 28, 2011 press release) an intersection of 53,700g Au/t (uncut) over 0.55 metres.

Goldeye Explorations Limited is holding its annual general meeting tomorrow, June 2, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. in the Executive Board Room of the Cambridge Suites Hotel located at 15 Richmond Street East, Toronto.
