There is nothing illegal about participating in a private placement if you are an owner or director of a company that I know of as long as it is voluntary. A large holding by a principal is usually a good sign. Marc and Charlie haven't sold a single share and many of their personal family members and friends own shares. They have a vested interest in this company's success.

I believe the second private placement went to QI which is a non related investment firm based out of Hong Kong and Burma ( Myanmar).

If the recompletion at Turner Valley is successful it will mean huge monthly cash flow for the company.
