Great Panther Silver Temporarily Suspends Mining Operations at Two Mexican Sites Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

05:16 AM EDT, 04/03/2020 (MT Newswires) -- Great Panther Silver (GPL) said Thursday it has temporarily suspended its operations at its Guanajuato Mine Complex and Topia Mine site in Mexico until April 30 in compliance with a government directive to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

The gold and silver mining company said it will only retain essential personnel at the two locations during the suspension period. Currently, there are no confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases in any of the company's locations.

The company's Tucano Mine site remains in operation. The company said it has a contingency plan if there will be a full or partial shutdown.
