I once heard that if an individual had placed their shares up for sale, then those shares cannot be borrowed. So if every HPQ holder were to place thier shares up for sale at 50 dollars it would decrease the amount of available shares that any shorters could borrow. Can anyone confirm if this type of strategy would help ???
