I would assume that the first reactor will be the test fire for gathering data as well as making sellable product. Once they get the data, they can add refinements in gen 2 and later reactors for improved efficiencies.
Bernard seems to be very positive about the Si->H2 conversion process. I wonder if the math will work out for cashflow-positive industrialization. Given the inhalation hazards of nano powders, I wonder if cells can be used to contain the material which can then be taken back to the reactor to be reprocessed.
