Here is a video explaining the same (love the name Viking Electric)....I like that the gel polyomer electrolyte is drop in solution similar to what HPQ is proposing with their graphite / silicon mash up.   I also like that this gel solution offers to use micro sized silicon as opposed to nano sized silicon - thus reducing the cost....something that HPQ is also offering....increased energy density at a lower cost.
