Lithium ions are lithium ions, aren't they? Doesn't matter if they originated from an NMC cathode or an LFP one. 

Its what happens when they cross over the barrier and enter the anode that matters. Adding Si to the graphite mix increases the gravimetric as well as the volumetric energy density In our current case by > 30%!

That is phenomenal.
