Iamgold Denies Media Reports of Blockade at Rosebel Mine in Suriname

06:26 AM EDT, 10/04/2019 (MT Newswires) -- Canadian miner Iamgold (IAG) said Friday in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission that it continues to ramp-up activities at the southern pits of its Rosebel Gold Mine in Suriname, contrary to recent media reports.

On Thursday, local media reported that the company had partially halted work at the mine after an influx of illegal miners blockaded operations.
