To some degree stockman has a point. Being an advisor or chief (CEO, CFO, COO, CAO) of anything makes it so you hit the ground running. You can't say you have all this experience and then hide behind needing to be trained. This isn't an entry level position like journeyman, cashier, window washer.
Now a nicer way he could have put it is to ask what is his timeline on substantial engagement with perspective customers. He could have even asked how before the advisor thinks he will turn the shop around in closing on substantial deals since now is the time f8r AR.
