Is it possible that the conclusions of the commissioned study may have an effect on what exactly they want to do next?

Maybe they choose to become a producer, maybe not? LOL

For the money they are spending and the extensive field work that has taken place (and continues to come on) why wouldn't you ask for the full monty from a known and respected industry consultant like Micon?

As was mentioned on SH these guys are respected and seem to be the company of choice by the big institutions when it comes to independant objective work like this.
