I think GCR is a good company. It is amazing what the economic down turn did with companies. The tightening of the credit market. I remember back when ISM raised its money and the whole boom mentality. FNX ended up coming up with financials that show nil cost to produce their nickel because of the by product credits. It also helped that metal prices were at all time record highs. Institutions and private investors that bought at much lower prices made a heap of money.
Its funny with exploration companies because they make promises based on the potential of properties. Blue sky is always the best. It is always best to consider what other companies have produced in the area to figure out the bottom side of risk.
I miss the times that posters were actually interested in talking about mining but now financial reports are the basis of all good dd. Cost flow analysis seems to be what institutions promote. I wonder with ISM what they are actually going to do with their cash. I always thought they would look for some rock bottom deals in order to make deals. You guys just bought about 15% of UMJ. They had an interesting feasibility report that was put out a few years ago. I doubt they will ever build the mill because in Sudbury there are lots of mills to produce the ore at reasonable transportation distances. At the price of Ni now I do not believe that with a lower grade resource it would prove cost effective to do otherwise.
So what will ISM do with their ore? I noticed in the financials work is progressing on the environmental front. Is it a prerequisite for dewatering your Langmuir mine? What kind of shape is the Langmuir mine in? Did it have a cave in or anything and was that why it was shut down in the first place? You talk about mining the resource under Night Hawk Lake. Is there a big resource there and are you able to do it?
