LOOKING LIKE SOMETHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN .... MAYBE !!

The continued success of Noront's drilling program at Blackbird Oneand also at Blackbird Two, is a very positive development in theCompany's exploration for base and industrial minerals in the Ring ofFire. The grades of Cr2O3 that are consistently being encountered bythe drilling at Blackbird One, along with a favourable chromium to ironratio have placed this discovery amongst the best chromite deposits inthe world. Visual observations resultant from the drilling at BlackbirdTwo are also encouraging, as these observations are starting to implylarge tonnage potential for the intervening area, although much moredrilling will be required in the future for 43-101 qualified resourcestudies.

Additional nearby discoveries by the Spider/Freewest/KWGjoint venture of 48 metres of massive chromite located only a fewkilometres northeast of Blackbird Two, along with Freewest's recentdiscoveries of 100 metres of chromite that included 60 meters ofmassive chromite, followed by 1.6 km stepout hole that also intersected120 meters of chromite mineralization, continue to lead the Company tobelieve that there is a potential for an extensive massive chromitebelt in the current area of drilling. These chromite occurrencesdiscovered in the McFaulds Lake area to date are situated along astrike length of 10 kilometers within the Ring of Fire (ROF) aspreviously reported by Noront, Freewest and the Spider/KWG/Freewest JVin their recent press releases. This concentration of occurrences lendssupport to the comparison with the Kemi Mine in Finland, where 12chromite lenses occur in a similar geological setting along a 15kilometre belt as presented in Noront's recently filed NI-43-101 reporton the project area. (to see the report, please refer to Noront websitewww.norontresources.com)

Noront and other Companies that continueto drill in the ROF area are now delineating a potential new chromitebelt that is still open at both ends along strike and to depth, wherethe ROF continues on ground wholly owned by Noront. Preliminarydiscussions are underway between the four companies (Noront, Freewest,Spider and KWG) that are actively exploring for chromium along this newbelt, whereby they have agreed to share geological information. Thispotential mega-project is rapidly progressing to the critical massstage to support development. The Company is committed to furtheridentifying the chromite footprint of Blackbird Two and testing itsother holdings along the ROF for chromite and related copper-nickelmassive sulphide mineralization.
