You mention nothing of the First Nations peoples. They have a hugely golden opportunity here. If they don't get too anal about things, they have an opportunity to partner with some very intelligent mining people, money people, technical people, and politicians to built infrastructure and job producing mines that will finance whole new communities with homes, schools, and businesses.

I believe their impact will be very positive. IMHO
