Good post and excellent summary, Le Penseur!
KWG's minority value of Big Daddy is attached to Cliffs willing to mine the ground. We have other assets, but our SP is at the present time linked to chromite and to its major holder, Cliffs!
It is obvious that Cliffs treats KWG in a rather supercilious way! In reality, when one holds nearly 20% of a public company, one can say that he does control the company. The situation would be quite different, IMO, if Cliffs had not such a portion of KWG's votes! If they decided not to follow their saying, and managed to keep their 19,3 % stake in KWG, there is probably a strategy behind that.
When KWG opened the door to Cliffs in 2008/09 with huge PPs, it kind of sold its soul to the Devil! The only thing Frank can do now is making the more noise possible in order to keep a value to our shares, and he does it brilliantly!
The XStrata Lab mandate for the bulk samples, and the halt (!!!) announcement made before Cliffs' NR was made by KWG management to counter what they knew about Cliffs' decision and announcement to come that they would select Black Thor as the probable flagship...
Frank has to stay alert, and he is! In the meantime, the best thing that could happen to us at this time would be a big drill hit in the present program, by KWG or UC, to enhance our RoF value. Good luck there, guys!
