In today’s Report on Business Magazine, the cover story by Geoffrey York is about Barrick Gold’s many problems in Tanzania. The title says it all: “Blood and Stone: 19 Villagers Dead/$155 Million Profit” – “ The mathematics of Barrick’s notorious North Mara mine in Tanzania underline the stark ethical issues for Canadian miners in the Third World”:
